Recently, I was back at it on 99designs.com, designing a logo for a Photography/Video firm called “Mad Science Media”.

Mad Science Media is a new firm specializing in a wide array of photography for advertising, real estate, and personal use. In their own words, they like to “have fun with cameras”. They also had very specific requirements for their new logo. They wanted it to be based on the shape of a “vesica piscis” or Greek symbol representing duality.

I created the following logo using this framework to represent Mad Science and their commitment to camerawork across multiple avenues. The overlapping camera shutters are symbolic of Mad Science Media’s multiple layers and also serve as the spheres in which their vesica piscis shape exists. The crisp font underneath does a nice job of informing the viewer without overtaking the logo design itself.
