The fall weather is already upon us and it gives me great pleasure to be able to look outside and observe the sights and sounds of autumn. Of course, with this occurrence comes another familiar one — the imminent arrival of Halloween. Like with most holidays or special events, I feel compelled to create a logo. The logo isn’t commissioned for anyone in particular but it’s just something I like to do each year, both to keep my skills as a designer sharp and also to pay homage and remembrance to some great holidays through the years.
This year’s logo is both simple and a bit of a deviation from my norm, incorporating some hand drawn lettering along with some jagged figures to really illuminate the Halloween spirit. I had gone through a few different templates and ideas for this holiday logo (which I may incorporate into a future blog post or entry) before settling on this one but overall, I am pleased with how it came out.
Also, speaking of autumn scenery, I had the fortune of waking up to a foggy, dew filled morning just this past week and took advantage of the opportunity to capture some fantastic photos (which will be debuting later this week in my photography section). Among them is a great one which Ive converted into a promotional banner that compliments my Halloween logo.
