Working with Magazine Layout

Magazine layout has been an interest of mine since starting school at Eastern Connecticut State University but has been an area of my artwork I rarely show. Most of my work has been for hypothetical class concepts for magazines, with one exception, which I own as a print copy (a collaborative project from a Magazine Design class)

"To The Stars" Travel Magazine designed in 2010, this was a cover concept for a magazine about traveling to outer space.

This is an inside page layout for the aforementioned travel magazine. I really enjoyed working with Indesign, using text wraps and column alignment to make a layout which type could flow through freely (this is all place-holder text with the exception of the headers) and feature photos on the side bars.
